Badener Hauervinothek
Description
The Badener Hauervinothek is located in the former farmyard of Heiligenkreuz Abbey, the Heiligenkreuzerhof, and offers the opportunity to taste and purchase around 100 select Baden wines as well as wine, marc and grape brandies and grappa chocolate from 12 Baden wineries in a medieval setting.
A special feature of the Badener Hauercollegium is the Badener Lumpentürl, available as a red wine in cuvée form and white wine as a Pinot Gris in the Vinothek, named after a small gate in the town wall that always remained open for wine lovers drinking outside and can still be seen in the town today.

Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month (starts at 19:00): Cost contribution € 12,- per person.

"In the footsteps of the phylloxera"
A vineyard hike on the Badener Berg, duration approx. 1.5 hours
Guided by a knowledgeable wine expert, you will learn about the local grape varieties and the history of viticulture on a leisurely hike. The hike starts at the Tourist Information and leads through the lower part of the Kurpark, up the Badener Berg to the vineyards above the town. The magnificent panoramic view over the Vienna Basin and the spa town of Baden, nestled between the Harterberg, Römerberg, Mitterberg and Badener Berg vineyards, as well as the view of the Wine Road towards Gumpoldskirchen and the gentle vineyard hills in front, make up for the arduous climb. Back through the villa district and the spa gardens, a free glass of Baden wine is offered for tasting in the Badener Hauervinothek.
