Beethovenhaus Baden

The Beethovenhaus Baden is an authentic place of pilgrimage for music lovers and culture enthusiasts. Ludwig van Beethoven spent the summer months of 1821, 1822 and 1823 in this house and composed significant parts of his 9th Symphony here. Since 2014, the house has been home to a museum that presents Beethoven's life and work in an innovative way. The Biedermeier-style living quarters offer an insight into the composer's life and surroundings in the town of Baden.
In addition, his compositions written in Baden, including the Ninth Symphony, can be experienced and heard in a special way. The museum offers regular public tours and has an interactive children's program. It is part of the Baden Museum Tour, which also includes the Arnulf Rainer Museum and the Kaiserhaus.
