Bildhauer-Symposion Lindabrunn
Description
The Symposion Lindabrunn is a freely accessible art and nature area of approx. 12 hectares, which is now owned by the municipality of Enzesfeld/Lindabrunn. Due to the unique combination of art, culture and nature, the area has developed a special atmosphere and has become an attraction for the regional population.
Around 50 years ago, the sculptor Mathias Hietz founded a stone sculpture symposium in Lindabrunn and held it once a year. In the years between 1969 and 1996, a respectable sculpture park was created, which offers a cross-section of works by Austrian and international stone sculptors. The Kunstverein Symposion Lindabrunn still exists today and regularly organizes an annual artistic and cultural programme incorporating various artistic disciplines.
Mobile info points on the site inform and sensitize visitors to the topics of fauna and flora, dead wood, sheep breeds, geology, the work of the stone sculptors and current artistic activities.
