Hotel Höldrichsmühle
Description
In the heart of the southern Vienna Woods is the Höldrichsmühle, where Franz Schubert was once inspired to write his world-famous song "Der Lindenbaum". The romantic mill also served as a backdrop for paintings by F.G. Waldmüller. Today you can enjoy a Schubert poppy seed and nut cake or the famous "Millirahmstrudel" with warm vanilla sauce under Schubert's lime tree.
The Höldrichsmühle is located directly on the Mödlingbachradrouet, only approx. 8 km from the Thermenradweg (EuroVelo 9). Top highlights in the immediate vicinity include the Hinterbrühl lake grotto, the Sparbach nature park and Lichtenstein Castle.
Open daily, hot meals throughout.
For horse enthusiasts, the Höldrichsmühle offers guided rides, riding lessons and vaulting on its school horses.
