Mödling

The Babenberg town south of Vienna impresses with its historic buildings and the personalities who found inspiration here. Artists such as Beethoven, Schönberg and Schubert stayed here. Beethoven dedicated his "11 Mödlinger Tänze" to the town. The town is also a popular excursion destination with many hiking and running trails as well as mountain bike trails. The historic and romantic ruins, which were built by Prince Liechtenstein in the 19th century, are particularly interesting.
