Description
The racecourse grounds, which are part of the palace park, invite you to take a relaxing stroll along the ruins of the former imperial grandstand. Particularly in the summer months, you can go on a voyage of discovery in the shade of the trees to discover the historical remains of the racecourse and admire the diversity of flora and fauna in the protected park.
The foundation walls of the imperial grandstand, the racecourse ponds, the sweating stables and the bridge in Kaiserallee show the extent of the former magnificent facility, which was the largest in continental Europe at the time. In 1915, however, the Kaisertribüne fell victim to a devastating fire and was never rebuilt.
