The Rudolf Proksch Huts, a well-known landmark for many people from Lower Austria, Baden and Pfaffstätt, is perched on the summit of the Pfaffstättner Kogel. This Wienerwald hut, which was built in 1930, is close to the Beethoven long-distance hiking trail and is a real gem for hikers. The Alpine Club hut can be reached in just 30 minutes on foot. The neighboring Klesheimwarte offers an impressive view of Vienna, Hungary and Schneeberg. The hut is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. For visits outside opening hours, there is a vending machine with chilled drinks that accepts one and two euro coins.
