Schönau a.d. Triesting

The village is located in the Triestingtal valley in the Vienna Woods. The local history museum tells the story of the village, which was first mentioned in documents in 1179. Johann Strauss wrote the operettas "One Night in Venice" and "The Gypsy Baron" in the Leutzendorf Villa. A hike or bike tour invites you to explore the Schönau/Triesting area with its ponds. The Thermenweg and Triestingau cycle paths and the connection to the Triestingtal cycle path meet here at the cycle path junction.
