Sooß

Description

In the immediate vicinity to the south of Vienna, an ancient fault line stretches across the Vienna Basin, where warm thermal springs come to the surface, giving the "Thermenregion" its name. The romantic wine village of Sooß is nestled in this beautiful, picturesque landscape.

Sooß was first mentioned in a document 800 years ago and has since developed into an idyllic wine village. At the foothills of the Vienna Woods, the market town of Sooß is surrounded by vineyards between the two spa towns of Baden and Bad Vöslau. The early Gothic fortified church with moat and wall is the visible landmark of the market town from afar. Throughout the year, Sooß offers visitors and guests numerous wine taverns with excellent red and white wines, which have received various state and national awards, as well as a wide range of culinary delights offered in various restaurants.

If a beautiful day comes to a late end, our landlords offer well-kept overnight accommodation in a quiet location before the journey home or onward journey begins. After a walk, a hike, a Nordic walking tour, a mountain bike tour or a bike ride (in the immediate vicinity also after a horseback ride or a round of golf), Sooß offers exquisite cuisine and wine cellar for the physical well-being of its guests.
