Tempel der Nacht

Description

The Temple of the Night is a mystical, legendary and globally unique architectural masterpiece. Its story begins at the end of the 18th century, when Baron Freiherr von Braun had the garden grotto that houses the temple built as part of the redesign of the palace park.

This underground labyrinth symbolizes the winding and dangerous path of life. There is no comparable building in Europe that combines freemasonry, garden grotto, opera and enlightenment in this way.

The temple was a meeting place for the nobility and was visited by numerous kings and emperors. Today, visitors can explore the secrets of this unique place on guided tours. The temple can also be booked for private parties, exclusive business dinners, wedding ceremonies or private opera performances. Occasional operas, plays and concerts are also performed here.
