Welcome to the HERZOG's!
We are a family business in Großau, a district of the spa town of Bad Vöslau, on the edge of the Thermenregion Vienna Woods and the Thermenregion Vienna Woods. The focus of the business is on viticulture, wine sales and wine taverns. On the farm we keep pigs, rabbits and chickens.
The interaction between the three generations on the farm plays a very important role. Each family member has their own area of work, but only together can we manage the numerous tasks on our diverse farm.
In 1968, the first wine was served in the cellar of Maria and Georg Herzog's home at Waldgasse 7 in Großau. In the mid-1970s, work began on building a wine tavern, which, after a few renovations and extensions, still invites guests to linger today.
Today the restaurant, which seats around 120 people, is open 6-7 times a year for 14 days. Most of the culinary delicacies served at the wine tavern are home-grown.Classic warm Heurigen delicacies such as Blunze, Bratwürstel, roast pork and Kümmelbraten, ... are offered as well as a cold Heurigen snack or sandwiches from the Heurigen buffet.
