Wallfahrtskirche Maria Raisenmarkt

The church is dedicated to the Holy Apostles Philip and Jacob. It was a branch church of the parish of Alland until 1783, when Raisenmarkt became its own parish under the patronage of Heiligenkreuz Abbey.

In 1977, the then parish priest P. Beda Zilch O Cist. erected a statue of "Our Lady of Lourdes" in the church in Raisenmarkt. Thus a center of deep Marian devotion developed in the deanery of Heiligenkreuz. The importance of Maria Raisenmarkt as a place of pilgrimage is particularly emphasized on the pilgrimage to Mariazell.
