* The mill
The mill was first mentioned in a document as early as 1258 and was rebuilt or reconstructed several times after several fires and devastation. Today, it wears the architectural dress of the late 18th and early 19th century. In years of painstaking work, our family succeeded in lovingly restoring the old building down to the smallest detail and harmoniously integrating the few but necessary structural changes into the overall structure.Among other things, the desolate Francis turbine, built in 1899, was repaired in order to obtain the water rights for the mill. In autumn 2011, the turbine was revitalized and since then we have been able to supply our electricity to the public grid.
Our family also restored the magnificent stucco ceiling in the private rooms. The mill is now a museum. Art and culture find their rightful place here at various events such as vernissages, exhibitions and concerts.
We are happy to show our guests the toil and hardship of the time with a guided tour of the mill.
