Baden Rosarium/Dobblhoffpark
Description
The 8-hectare Doblhoffpark with its idyllic pond is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Baden. The restored baroque orangery provides a charming backdrop for long walks.
The park used to belong to Weikersdorf Castle, which was generally referred to as "Schloss Doblhoff" after its last owners. In the 1960s, the Doblhoffpark became the property of the municipality of Baden, which built today's Rosarium according to plans by architect Viktor Mödlhammer.
The Rosarium in Doblhoffpark, Austria's largest rose garden, invites visitors to stroll and enjoy it all year round. More than 30,000 rose bushes are planted with over 800 varieties of roses with illustrious names such as "Märchenkönigin", "Goldmarie" and "Kaiserin Elisabeth". The roses bloom twice a year, once in June and the second time in October.
Tip: Visit the Baden Rose Days in June!
