Castle, castle park - Wasserspielplatz Bad Vöslau

Description

The castle park Bad Vöslau covers an area of 6 ha. It was designed in the style of English landscape gardens and, together with Bad Vöslau Castle, forms the heart of the city. In the middle of the park is a majestic 200-year-old plane tree that has provided shade for many generations. There are about 400 trees in the castle park - more than 45 of them are tree species. Special trees along the sidewalks in the palace park invite you to discover them and are equipped with tree inscriptions in German and English. In addition to the trees, it is above all Baroque and contemporary sculptures that turn on the charm of the palace park.

The water playground was built as part of the Garden Show 2010 and is now the highlight for young explorers in summer. The interactive Selfie Point is also worth a detour: Here visitors can learn interesting facts about the park and its history at the touch of a button. The castle Bad Vöslau belongs since 1136 to the chronicle of the spa town.Since March 1971, the castle is officially the town hall of the municipality Bad Vöslau. TheTourist Info  is given here.
